Demna Gvasalia’s Balenciaga debut was all about the bulkiness of the garments. Similar to his debut women’s show, the designer has given men’s pieces the same broad shoulders used in the Vetements FW16 show, while others were tailored and rather tight.

The show was full of wide bombers, leather pieces, wool coats, trucker jackets and harringtons. The collection is another example of how Gvasalia has taken Balenciaga where it’s never been under Alexander Wang’s dictatorship.
