With such a tense teaser, it may be difficult to discern which direction the electroacoustic composer’s album could veer. For context, this year Vigroux has been busy working on Ciment, a collection of bass guitar improvisations that was released in April.
Of particular interest to electronic music fans everywhere is Radioland, his collaboration with Matthew Bourne in which they cover the entirety of Kraftwerk’s 1975 masterpiece, Radioactivity. The revisited album stands as a parallel universe experiment if the Kraftwerk quartet had experimented with less minimalist tendencies.
Be on the lookout for Rapport sur le Désordre on September 19th via French label DAC Records.
