Our KC man Huerco S. dropped his latest and first physical EP No Jack this week, coming in for the win with three serious bruisers and a killer remix from Braille (one half of Sepalcure). Opening you up for a deep house dance party, dripping in soul that’s been chopped up hard, this EP does not disappoint. Some sexy ass vocal samples echoing themselves throughout the opening track really set the tone for some serious production techniques throughout No Jack.

Huerco’s latest offering is an exploration in distorted electronic notions, dark bass and fantastically orchestrated samples all packaged together in a lustrous box with a pretty bow on top. The opening track is almost 7 minutes, and I promise you every single second is necessary. I fell instantly in love with the Wicked Bass Records 12″ vinyl-only EP, and if you dig bass and spaced out disco, you will too.

Watch the sexy and strange video of the B side track “Untitled” below.
