Undoubtedly one of the hottest electronic bass producers in the scene right now, Dauwd just dropped a ridicuously fresh playlist of his current faves for the Amsterdam blog, 22tracks’s bi-monthly Artist Take Over series. Kicking up excessive amounts of dust with his game changing releases Could It Be/Shimmer and What’s There in 2011, fans have been tripping over themselves to find out more about the somewhat elusive London artist. This 22 track mix exposes a funky, playful and extremely on the pulse of what’s hot, peek inside the world of Dauwd with picks ranging from Andy Stott, Claro Inclecto, and label-mate Lapalux, to up-and-comers Fort Romeau, and John Talabot along with a nod to the masters with the inclusion of Bonobo and Groove Armada. This killer playlist does not disappoint and says something about this young producer’s ability to understand his audience when producing material even if it’s not his own. At the very least this mix provides a bit of insight as to where the influences on his upcoming release stem from.
